FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS
SAPPHIRE™ FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
The SAPPHIRE™ system is intended for suppression of fires using 3M™ Novec™ 1230 suppression agent in the form of a liquid harmless to electronic devices.
The SAPPHIRE™ is widely used in:
- Electronic information banks,
- Telecommunication,
- Libraries,
- Rooms with electronic equipment sensitive to changing environmental conditions,
- Industrial halls,
- Sport vehicles,
- Vehicles and devices used in arms industry,
- Ship engine rooms,
- Transport vehicles including public transport,
- Cash dispensers.
3M™ Novec™ 1230 is a liquid suppression agent harmless to electronic devices which fully substitutes Halon being removed form the market.
This agent is intended for suppression of:
- Class A fires – with flammable materials i.e. rubber, paper or plastic,
- Class B fires – with flammable or combustible liquids and gases i.e. diesel oil, hydraulic liquids, oils and lubricants.
- Class C fires – involving energized electrical equipment.
The properties of 3M™ Novec™ 1230 suppression agent allow for its use in locations where it is impossible to use:
- electrically conductive substances,
- dry powder extinguishing agents,
- toxic extinguishing agents.
The AUTOPULSE automatic detection system ensures continuous control of a given object. The extinguishing installation is automatically activated after the signal is sent from local temperature detectors.
